What are the Benefits of Graphic Design and Why Should You Care?
If you run a business and you have any form of corporate identity then you should care very much. How you present your company to your chosen market is fundamental to its success.
The graphic design process is crucial to any business, making it stand out head and shoulders from the competition. Whether it is the design of an entire corporate campaign or the creation of a simple company logo it still has to work effectively for you. There are four critical elements that should be seen in every logo design:

⢠It must be memorable
⢠It must be effective without colour
⢠It must be scalable
Fairly obvious really but how does your logo stand up to these criteria? How does your company identity stand out from the competition?
Ask yourself why something is designed in a certain way. Consider why a particular colour is chosen instead of its opposite. Why use this font? Why include this particular graphic here? A good designer will think through every detail of a design and only include elements that will add to the design and re-enforce the brand.
Once your business is up and running you may think that any form of corporate identity will act to represent the company, visually creating a brand by default. Think again. If you look at the large corporations you will notice that their brand strategy stands the test of time for many years.
Many companies never change their logo design dramatically but only make the smallest of changes to keep the design looking modern and refreshed.

Choosing The Right Graphic Design Company Is Critical
Most businesses start out with a business venture with the very best intentions. They have a great idea do a lot of research , they get the necessary funding but when it comes to choosing the right graphic design company they do not do their home work and this can lead to some big problems later on down the track.
I would like to use a reali life example to best convey this example. take a new law firm starting up in the city. They will get new premises and work out on getting the best minds to work for them . But, when it comes to the image that they want to portray to the outside world they are quite relaxed about this and will often tlet their new image be done by a friend of a friend and this image will then be branded on all their marketing material.
From letterheads, business cards, with compliment slips, email fotters, right through to their website this second rate branding will be implemented with no thought or understanding of the business or what it is trying to communicate.
Because people do not really undersatnd the benefits of strong graphic design and they think that creating a logo or identity is extremely easy they are unwilling to pay a good price to get this done. If they would engage to credible and established design comapny in the first instance to create a brand for the comapny that will last a life time then as the company grows and expands it wil not face the issue of an identity crisis and be forced to re-do the whole exercise again.
Its funny that a business will want to spend more money on the coffee table in the reception area as it is a tangible piece or item that they would their very own branding.
It is only the sophisticated and savvy businesses that will be working with a credible graphic design studio from the start that will be in a far better position in the future.
